Class Library Give-Away

Each year I collect at least a hundred or books to add to my classroom library. At the end of the year, I invite students to choose and keep one or books from our library. It has never cleaned me out and, since I purchase many books for $.25 or less from the thrift store, it’s well worth it.

I will use this idea in the future. At the end of the year, it can get expensive buying each student a gift or creating goodie bags. Having each student choose a book from my library helps promote reading and ensures they get a book they will enjoy or already have enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.

What a thoughtful idea! I think that this would be a good way to send students off to enjoy their summer.
