There is no better way to start off the day than happy. Check out the funny stories from teachers across the country who understand what life is like in the classroom. The tales are sure to make you smile!
“I use a wireless mouse in my room and a smart slate,” said Julie P. “I was demonstrating a multiplication problem on the slate. A student had the wireless mouse and as I was writing, I noticed the ‘pen’ take off and I could not figure out what was going on. The student was bright red and laughing. She was going to go to the next screen and was trying to move the mouse as I was writing!”
Baby, It’s Cold….Inside!
Temperature control might be needed in Patrice’s school after hearing this comment from her student. “As I was instructing my third grade students to put their jackets in their lockers, a student told me he needed his jacket for the cafeteria so he wouldn’t get hypothermia from the cold!”
Will You Be My Valentine?
We forget how height can be intimidating…until we work with children! “On Valentine’s Day I had told my 3rd graders they were my Valentines,” explained Melissa. “Well, one little boy told his mother that they needed to lock the doors that night. When she asked why, he replied, “Well, Miss R. told me I was her Valentine and I don’t think her boyfriend will like that very much!‘ His mother told him it would be ok, but the boy insisted, because my boyfriend is ‘very tall’. I couldn’t stop laughing when his mother told me.”
