Letter-Perfect Reading and Writing

Idea by Farrah, a Kindergarten Teacher, in Nanuet, NY. Each year, I provide students with my address and ask them to write me letters. As a result, I usually end up with 10-15 pen pals over the summer. The mail encourages students to practice their reading and writing and I get to learn about their fun summer adventures.

This is a really good idea. I wish I had thouhgt of this. I am moving out of state and will probably never see my students again. This would have been a great way to keep in touch.

I really like this idea- however- I do not give out personal information to students or parents.
