Quick and Easy Valentine’s Day Activities

Share the love this Valentine’s Day with these fun and easy activities. They are perfect for language arts lessons throughout the day. Share it with us in the comments below. Activities The Things I Love Have students create their top 20 list of things they love. Glue each list to a heart cut-out and hang on a bulletin board for all to see. L-O-V-E Write acrostic poems using the words “love” or “Valentine’s Day.” Find-a-Word Encourage students to find as many smaller words as they can in “Valentine’s Day”. Love Chain Have students write positive traits or characteristics about each of their classmates on individual paper strips. Gather all of the strips and sort them by student. The students can then create a paper chain using the strips with the compliments their classmates have given them. Secret Messages After explaining and demonstrating how to make and solve a cryptogram, have students create a cryptogram with a Valentine’s Day message for their family to solve.
