Really Good Halloween Safety Tips & Activities
With Halloween just around the corner, it is the perfect time to incorporate some Halloween fun into your lessons. From ghoulish gumdrop counting for math to reading spooky tales, there all sorts of ways to make the season fun. However, it is also important to remember to include some education about Halloween safety between the fun and festivities. At Really Good Stuff, we want to help you keep your students safe while Trick-or-Treating. We have come up with a great downloadable Halloween Safety Tips and Activities Packet for you to use with your students.
Why is it so important to talk about Trick-or-Treating safety with your class? Well, as you know, not all children have strong support systems at home. You, as their teacher, may be the most consistent adult figure in their lives. If you can equip them with some basic safety rules, you may end up saving their lives.
Our Halloween Safety Tips and Activities Packet comes complete with a list of 11 basic safety tips for Trick-or-Treating. It is geared toward parents and will, hopefully, encourage them to talk about safety with their child. We recommend going over the tips with your class at school before they complete the related Really Good Word Search and Really Good Word Scramble. The words in those activities are taken directly from the safety tips. Younger students may not be able to complete the word activities, so there is an additional coloring sheet just for them that is attached to to the download.
