Adjective Flower Craft for Kids
Students write a noun in the center of the flower and use the petals to write adjectives that describe it. Use the idea in conjunction with a book you are reading, a character study, or a way to learn about Spring.
We took the Poppin’ Patterns Spring Flower 6-inch Designer Cutouts and came up with 10 different ways that you could use them in the classroom. Read on to find activities that range from math to language to crafts for Mother’s Day that all use this one versatile product.

GREAT IDEA! As a first year teacher I am always looking for ways to posts words we can use in our writing. We have been doing word webs like this for “powerful words” we can use in our writing. I would like to do this for spring! THANKS for the ideas.

Clipped and saved! Great idea for understanding adjectives. I also want to use this to get more “spicy” words in our writing activities!

What a great idea!! I am so glad I found this!!!! We just started studying adjectives last week, and I wanted a way for my students to create more “juicy” descriptions in their writing. This would be fantastic! And what I great tie in for the beautiful spring weather!

I think they would be great fun to use for word families. I think my kiddos would love writing on them and if the expectation is to figure out enough words to fill up the petals then they will have to be doing some great thinking before they can move on to another flower!!
