2. Amaryllis
Teacher Susan Briggs is a big fan of using Amaryllis plants to decorate the room and teach her students about plant growth. “Start bulbs in January and measure them daily and graph the growth,” she said. “They can grow an inch a day at times.” Teacher Catherine Kennedy agrees, “I also get an Amaryllis around Thanksgiving every year because my students love to watch how fast it grows!”
