Kindergarten Graduation Ideas

Kindergarten.  It is a magical grade where students begin to develop their love for learning.  They learn how to work with others, how to read basic words, and how school works.  At the end of the Kindergarten year, many schools have celebrations to recognize students’ hard work during this first year of schooling.  Kindergarten graduations have become more commonplace and teachers are tasked with coming up with creative ways to celebrate the day.  The five ideas within are perfect for creating a Kindergarten Graduation day to remember!

Cupcake Class

What fun is a graduation without a cake to celebrate? This year, forgo the traditional sheet cakes and have children decorate iced cupcakes of themselves and their parents the day before the ceremony. Liberal use of licorice, gumdrops and other candy can be encouraged as most children leave with their parents after the graduation ceremony. Refrigerate the cupcakes in the school’s refrigerator overnight and serve them after the students receive their certificates. If more friends and family members will be coming, have a reserve of plain iced cupcakes with toothpicks in them that read “Happy Graduation.”
