You can be assured that cameras will be out in full force during the graduation ceremony. Parents and family members will come armed with still cameras, as well as, video and cell phone cameras. Instead of having families jockeying for position, designate a special spot for parents and child to get their picture taken after the ceremony. Hang a light gray or white sheet from a fence and a graduation-themed banner or sign at the top. Ask a teacher’s aide or classroom volunteer to be the photographer. Parents can then have their picture taken with their child, without having to worry about finding someone to take it for them. They will still be snapping away during the ceremony, but they will appreciate the thoughtful touch of having a staffed photo spot available for a family picture.
