What’s the best piece of advice you received as a student teacher?

The best piece of advice I ever received was to have fun and not be afraid to wing it.  My mentor teacher was fabulous and stressed that sometimes the best learning happens when it’s not planned.  She was also a jokester and had fun in the classroom.  The kids really responded to that.

Best piece of advice, don’t take yourself too seriously and don’t overthink things to death.
