    does anyone know any nice books for a class read aloud and any websites that can be used for teaching 1st for students and teachers to use?

    Charlotte’s Web, James and the Giant Peach, The Box Car Children series, and Mrs. Piggle Wiggle are some of my favorite chapter book read-alouds for first grade. If you’re just looking for one-day read-alouds, there are so many, I couldn’t possibly name all my favorites! Dr. Seuss books are always a great choice.

    Junie B. Jones is one of our favorites for read alouds! If you read it in a funny “Junie B.” voice it’s even more fun! 😉

    Even though it’s above grade level, I like to read Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium aloud. It’s such a great book and the kids love that it’s set in a toy store. I have them draw pictures of what they think the toy store looks like if they need to doodle while I read.
