Using Digital Portfolios in the Classroom

Digital or ePortfolios are an amazing way to excite students’ curiosity, learning, and reflection.  They offer limitless possibilities for demonstrating growth and mastery across all subject areas and grades.  Whether using them as a platform for students to explain the problem solving process for a complicated math equation or as a way to show the growth process for argumentative writing, digital portfolios allow students to express themselves in ways that are fitting for this technological age.  During the #TeachChat on Wednesday, October 29th, 2014, we discussed ways students can use eportfolios, as well as resources for getting started.  Read through the chat to find ideas, support, and guidance as you embark on the journey toward integrating digital portfolios in your classroom.
