Superhero Bulletin Board Ideas

It’s a bird! It’s a plane!  It’s a classroom full of super students!  Nothing says strength, loyalty, courage, and determination like a superhero. Capture that enthusiasm and excitement in classroom bulletin boards that is designed with super learners in mind.  Here are three superhero bulletin board ideas for the classroom to get you started.

3 Superhero Bulletin Board Ideas for the Classroom

Capitalize on Kindness

In Barbara Gruener’s new book, What’s Under Your Cape? Superheroes of the Character Kind, she explores essential character building lessons that all children should learn.  Use your bulletin board as a backdrop for these important lessons as you lead your students through a year-long exploration of everything from service to self-discipline.

Here’s another idea from Barbara for a Superhero themed bulletin board.

Super Students

Turn your students into superheroes on a bulletin board designed to celebrate their unique traits and personalities.  The Super Student bulletin board is designed to highlight a new student each week.  Think of it as your “Student of the Week” board with a superhero twist!  Hand out the Super Student page the Thursday or Friday before the new week when a new student of the week is honored.

Super Readers

Up, up, and away with a class full of super readers!  Plan a classroom bulletin board that lets students share their favorite books, their reading success, and their enthusiasm for stories.  Use the Ready to Decorate All About My Favorite Books Posters to give students a chance to write about and illustrate scenes from their favorite book.  Keep a basket of the month’s recommended reading suggestions by the board so that students can easily access those books they are interested in finding out more about.  If space is an issue, bind the posters together and hang them on a ring from a clip on the bulletin board.
