3. Venus Fly Trap
If you want to live on the wild side, or think it is incredibly neat to have a carnivorous plant in the classroom, the Venus Fly Trap might just be the plant for you! This Biology Gazette (on page 2) has a lot of great information about the plant and how and why it should be preserved. Teacher Suzanne Ackerman affirms that it is a great plant for the classroom, “I once had a Venus Flytrap. The kids loved it and found bugs for it.”
