Advice from a Traveling Technology Teacher

Traveling Technology Teacher

When I first became a teacher my thought was, “I can’t wait to decorate my classroom!” Fast forward 3 years later and I no longer have my own classroom, but I now travel on a chromebook cart. Although there are many challenges, the pros of traveling from room to room are evident in student achievement! There are so many tools that can help students succeed in their own classrooms, plus my technology push in that make the traveling worth it.

Staying Organized

My first year traveling I have realized the trouble of keeping many of my important items organized. Whether it be my objective posters, attendance, or my worksheets, I found organization a tough task. Luckily, I was able to take time and organize each grade level into their own baskets They are all labeled and placed in a specific spot on my cart for easy access!

Storage for Tech

As a traveling technology teacher, I need storage for my technology! Most classes are able to share chromebooks and tablets, but the storage can be a bit of a hassle in already packed classrooms!  Whether it is on my cart or placed in specific classrooms, this tablet storage product holds six tablets and charges them all in one compact spot. It also comes in 13 colors to match any classroom decor!

Survival Guide

Overall, traveling can be a positive experience for both the teacher and students! So many tricks and tips are out there to make the transition from a classroom to a cart much smoother. Read this survival guide for traveling teachers to learn more about making your transition easier. Organization is key! Stay tuned for more tips from a traveling technology teacher!
